Leadville Medical Clinic Has a New Manager
Trey Lawrence welcomed the opportunity to move to Leadville from Georgia to utilize his skills in healthcare administration managing St. Vincent Hospital’s outpatient clinic.
As an avid outdoorsman Lawrence loves to fish, kayak and hunt. “I look forward to serving the community of Leadville, and I will enjoy all of the amenities Leadville and Lake County have to offer,” said Lawrence.
Lawrence holds a masters degree in Healthcare Administration from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA. His previous hospital experience includes health information management and practice administration at EffinghamHospital in Springfield, Georgia and Memorial University Medical Center/Children’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Lawrence is passionate about community outreach and volunteerism.
As manager of St. Vincent Hospital Leadville Medical Clinic, Trey Lawrence was chosen to facilitate, communicate and collaborate with patients and their families, physicians and administration to continue to provide high quality patient care.
St. Vincent Hospital Leadville Medical Clinic was recently formed when Dr. Wayne Callen became an employed physician of St. VincentHospital on Monday July 16, 2012. The hospital plans to add family practice physicians and physicians assistants overtime to enhance access and care of Leadville and LakeCounty residents.
As St. Vincent Hospital Leadville Medical Clinic’s new Clinic Manager , Lawrence looks forward to applying his strong work ethic, leadership skills and sense of accountability in Leadville and Lake County’s rural health care setting. Welcome to Leadville!
Kilpatrick named Chief Nursing Officer at SVH
St. Vincent Hospital welcomes Von Kilpatrick as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Von served as Interim CNO during June and July, and was subsequently selected to fill the position permanently.
“Von is a highly skilled registered nurse with extensive background in management. Her career history and strong clinical knowledge assured us that she is the right fit for St. Vincent Hospital,” said Cher Melichar, Human Resources Director at St. Vincent Hospital.
Originally from New England, Kilpatrick moved to Leadville after an extensive career as a Registered Nurse on the front range of Colorado. As an established health care professional, Kilpatrick has served as Utilization Review Manager, Nursing Supervisor; Nursing Manager; Charge Nurse and Medical Volunteer Coordinator. Her recent employers include Eating Recovery Center of Denver and Centennial Peaks Hospital, in Louisville.
“I moved to Leadville in October, 2011 to relax and enjoy the mountains. The relaxation only lasted until January when I accepted the position coordinating the hospital’s transition to electronic medical records. In my new role I am highly excited by QHR’s recent presence at the hospital and the capabilities they bring to effect positive change to St. Vincent Hospital,” said Kilpatrick.
Filling in the Gaps of Local Healthcare
The recent departure of Dr. Teresa Loftin as an employed physician of St. Vincent Hospital left a gap in services until a new doctor is hired. Until then, a new health care option has been created for her family practice patients.
Physician Assistant, Linda Lee is seeing Loftin’s patients and offering Family Practice medicine to the community. Lee’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Linda Lee is a seasoned practitioner with a solid foundation of medical knowledge. Among her many licenses and certificates, Lee holds a Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies with an emphasis on emergency medicine from Arizona School of Health Sciences.
