Forest Service Hosts Open House Tomorrow

On Tuesday, January 15 the U.S. Forest Service is having an open house at the Leadville Ranger Office at 810 Front Street and McWethy Drive in Leadville. There are two sessions at 2 – 4 p.m. and 5 – 8 p.m.

The topic of discussion with be the Tennessee Creek Project. The proposed project includes vegetation management on approximately 12,000 acres of Forest Service system lands from Halfmoon Creek north to Tennessee Pass and Mt Zion.  For more details: LINK.

In attendance at the Open House Sessions will be Leadville District Ranger Jon Morrisey, along with the Natural Resource Manager, a Wildlife Biologist and a Silviculturist (hint: The care and cultivation of forest trees).
