Your Epidermis Is Showing – High Rockies Skincare!

With the first warm, sunny weekend finally marked on the calendar  – it’s time to talk skincare. While it’s a year-round concern, especially for folks who live in the thin mountain air, it’s usually during the summer months when skin health is in forefront of people’s minds.

ClickThru_SkinTastic_LeadvilleTodayDid you get a sun burn this past weekend? Did you neglect to cover up because it was so warm and sunny and it just felt good? Maybe you haven’t stocked up on sunscreen for the season yet.

Do you have an ongoing skin issue that prevents you from getting out and enjoying life? Or do you just want to take better care of the largest organ of your body: the skin! Well, you’re in luck, skincare services are now offered locally.

She explained further that “skin health can be a challenge in the mountainous communities, and the care of a dermatologist is sometimes needed for severe cases involving skin diseases. Even then, those treatments may be coupled with an esthetician’s ongoing care to attain the maximum skin health possible to the individual.”

Mtn Skintastic regular hours are:

  • Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Friday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday by appointment. Although you must have a scheduled appointment, if you need a service the “day of, you can still call in the morning for possible “day of” services.

Matthews also offers fifteen minute consultation appointments available by phone or in person to help answer questions if you are unfamiliar with professional skin care or do not know quite what to do!
