Live Music at St. George’s Saturday Night!

The St. George Concert Series continues this Saturday, September 28 with Dana and Susan Robinson. The duet will be performing “New Songs from Rural America and Old Time Mountain Music.”

The show starts at 7 p.m. and benefits the community meals program at St. George’s Church at Pine and 4th Streets. Cost is $12 at the door.

Sayer McKee to House New Retail Business

What’s going on in the old Sayer McKee building? That seems to be the big question on Harrison Avenue these days. There certainly has been a lot of activity inside, and those sparkly clean windows hint that something is about to happen!

Well, this Friday the local community is invited to an Open House at the building for a major announcment from new owner Bob MacKenzie. The event will be Friday, September 27 from 3 – 8 p.m. and refreshments will be served. 

It’s been ten months since the iconic Sayer McKee Drug Store officially closed its doors on November 30, 2012. So what will be taking its place? Word on the street is that it will house some type of new retail business. Come and find out tomorrow, or stay tuned to Leadville Today for the news.
