Race Series Brings Leadville Donations to Flood Victims
CMC Kicks off International Film Series Friday
When someone says foreign film what comes to mind? Maybe some awful French film with tiny subtitles at the bottom of the screen that you can’t read? Well, it’s time to change that image and the best place to do that is this Friday, Oct. 4 up at CMC as they kick off their 2013 Fall International Film Series. And the first one out of the gates – “Branded” – looks pretty intriguing. Here’s one online summation:
In a dystopian future where corporate brands have created a disillusioned population, one man’s effort to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy leads to an epic battle to control the world in this visionary, thought-provoking sci-fi thriller. Starring Max von Sydow, Jeffrey Tambor, Leelee Sobieski and Ingeborga Dapkunaite.
The international film series will highlight other movies every Friday through November 22. Check the Leadville Today Calendar for future films: LINK.
That’s 8 films for only ten bucks, if you make it a Friday movie night for the next two months! The films are shown in Room 401 of the Climax Building, on the Colorado Mountain College Timberline Campus in Leadville.
