Local Help Available for Health Care Registration
The Lake County Public Health Agency (LCPHA) is one of 57 groups across the state selected to provide in-person assistance to customers of Connect for Health Colorado, the new health insurance marketplace which opened in October. LCPHA is part of the Connect for Health Assistance Network whose task it is to serve local communities, helping individuals, families and small employers consider health plan options, apply for insurance affordability programs, and sign up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
“Having access to quality health insurance and new financial assistance to reduce costs is a huge benefit for the people in our community,” said Colleen Nielsen, RN, LCPHA Director. “We are excited to help residents and small businesses in Lake County find the health insurance plan that meets their needs through Connect for Health Colorado.”
