Revisit the 80s and Help Local Cancer Victim
Ah, the 80s – big hair, leg warmers, and big shoulder pads and that’s just the wardrobe! If you’d like to take a stroll down memory lane and support a good cause, then be sure to attend this Friday’s 80s Dance to benefit Chrystal Wisner of Leadville.
Chrystal‘s friends and family have put together a fundraising event to assist with her battle and recovery from Stage 4 Breast Cancer which she was diagnosed with last May. Since then Chrystal has also lost her job along with her health insurance and struggles to meet basic needs, including food.
The 80s Benefit Dance/Silent Auction for Chrystal Wisner will be held Friday, Nov. 15 at the Elks Lodge (123 W. 5th Street) from 7 p.m. – Midnight. The evening will also include a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, Food, and Dancing to the tunes of Madonna and Bon Jovi, to name a few of the great 80s musicians. There will be a $5 cover for the dance.
So plan to attend a fun night to support and benefit a strong, beautiful woman. Contributions for Chrystal can also be made online at LINK. In her own words:
“I would like everyone to know that I am completely overwhelmed by this generosity and every penny makes the difference between having electricity and not, being able to pay for some sort of insurance to continue my medical treatment, to being able to pay the mortgage on the house,to keeping my car and home phone. I have always been a wickedly independent girl. I have always paid my own bills, always.”
