Ski Cooper Opens Early for the Season This Weekend
The recent snow fall has been a blessing for Ski Cooper and as a result, the local ski and snowboard area will open ahead of their scheduled date. All runs, chair lifts and Colorado’s longest Magic Carpet® surface lift will be open for this weekend, November 30 and December 1, as well as next weekend December 7 and 8. The popular ski hill will open 7 days a week for the season starting Saturday, Dec. 14.
“We know our guests are ready to ski and we are very excited to offer them the opportunity to have a great Thanksgiving Day weekend with an early opening this season.” said Ski Cooper President/GM Dan Torsell.
Guests can pick up Season Passes or the XP Pass at the Guest Services Desk on the first level of the base lodge or get a lift ticket at the window. XP passes will be available (online only) until the originally scheduled opening date of December 14.
Ski Cooper is in the final stages of a major remodel of the Lodge and Rental Shop, so food service will be somewhat limited and the rental shop closed until the Grand Opening on December 14, however they will offer a limited stock of rentals in the Children’s Center prior to that.
Cooper’s Ski School will offer private lessons for the first two weekends and then ramp up to the full slate of products, including some new surprises on Opening Day.
