SnowshoeMarathonThe event will have registration starting at 6:30 a.m. the day of the race and the best news? It’s FREE! Smokey Burgess, Leadville snowshoe racer and business-guy is putting together all the details and has set up a Facebook page for the event. So give it a “like” and stay plugged in to the updates.

Then the next weekend on February 8, the High Riders Snowmobile Club will be hosting the Inaugural Leadville High Altitude Snow Drags also out at the Mt. Massive Golf Course and Club.  This day-long event will feature snowmobile drag races right on the ninth hole of the golf course. The High Riders Snowmobile Club is seeking sponsorships and/or donations for prize packages for winners from area businesses.  A modest, $100 sponsorship will provide your business a spot on the poster at the event, a mention on the PA system and a listing in the program.  Prize packages can include lodging, dining and retail possibilities.

The High Riders Snowmobile Club’s Community Affairs Chairman Tom Driemeyer is the guy to contact for more information on sponsorship or prize package opportunities. tldkwlv3@hotmail.com or 970-389-6123.
