Fat Tracks Were Made at the Pedal Power MTB Race
The fourth race in Pedal Power Winter Race Series, the Pedal Power Winter Mountain Bike Race, took place on January 4 at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center at Ski Cooper.
This ‘winter mountain bike’ event was introduced to the Winter Race series last year and was immediately met with rave reviews for its challenging track. The course utilizes the Tennessee Pass Nordic Centers network of nordic trails which wend their way through the pine forests and meadows flanking magnificent Tennesse Pass north of Leadville.
Here’s how the field played out: Men’s Winners: First place: Marvin Sandoval; Second Place: Wesley Sandoval; Third Place: Cannon Shockley. On the women’s side: First Place went to Roxanne Hall and Second Place to Sonya Evers; Beginner’s First Place went to Christina Briseno. For FULL RESULTS: click.
