Reach for Your Dreams: A College Education

For years, the dream of obtaining a college education has seemed out of reach for many families. But this Saturday, Colorado Mountain College (CMC) in Leadville is going to help students reach that goal.CMC_FirstGeneration

On March 29, CMC will hold a free First Generation College Summit to help students and their families prepare for college and future careers. Starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Climax Molybdenum Leadership Center, attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about college preparation, financial aid and several scholarships available. Students and their families can also meet with representatives from other Colorado colleges and universities, as well as numerous local resource organizations. Finalists for VP at CMC to Meet With Public This Friday

After a nearly year-long process of seating a new leader at the Colorado Mountain College campus in Leadville, the search is showing some forward movement with finalists for Vice President available to meet with the public this Friday, March 28.CMC_Friday

The school is inviting community members to the Climax Molybdenum Leadership Center, KW Room from 8:15 – 9:45 a.m. this Friday for morning coffee with the finalists for the Vice President position. Attendees can also provide feedback by completing an online survey available until March 31 at 10 a.m., although no links or additional details have been provided. There will also be light breakfast items on hand.

Dr. Jonathan King has been acting as the interim leader for the Leadville campus since former vice president Mike Simon resigned last June.
