Leadville Workforce Center to Host Job Fair May 13

Staying fully staffed with the right people is a constant challenge for employers and, even in a tight labor market, there’s no room for bad hiring decisions.  The cost and the time involved can be pricey and prolonged. WorkforceHelpWanted copy

That’s why meeting with a number of qualified applicants in a job fair setting can be so valuable to businesses.  The Workforce Center in Leadville has teamed with the Leadville Lake County Chamber of Commerce and The National Mining Hall of Fame (NMHF) to create a recruiting event on Tuesday, May 13 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the NMHF Conference Center.

During that time, participants can gain a wealth of information and resources and meet face-to-face with representatives from more than 10 companies, all with jobs open for hire.

Employers will have the opportunity to set up their tables prior to the Job Fair opening for attendees.

At 2:30 P.M., when the job fair opens, job seekers will be able to speak with employers.  Job Seekers are reminded to bring copies of their resume and dress in professional manner.

“For local businesses with hiring needs, this is the place to find it,” says Rosemary Pettus, Director of the Workforce Centers in Lake, Summit, and Eagle counties. “Whether you are seeking workers for entry-level jobs or needing to fill higher level positions, this is the place to connect with prospective employees.”

If you would like to attend this free event and would like to learn more about it, please contact the Leadville Workforce Center and Kim Rodriquez at (719) 486-2428 or email Kimberly.Rodriquez@state.co.us.Poster-Spring-Job-Fair-Temp
