Leadville Flame Place 4th in Soccer Tournament
By Kevin Cannell, Flame Soccer Coach
The Leadville Flame place 4th at the 2014 Colorado Player’s Cup. The Player’s Cup is the highest ranking soccer tournament in Colorado and is by invitation only. We competed in the Ekipa (Team) division.
I couldn’t be more proud of our players as they continue to soar up the elite competitive soccer ladder. The kids are playing at a level that even I could never have imagined. I had parents from the opposing team come to me after every game to compliment our players, and openly wonder how our team of 13,12,11, and 10 year old kids could possibly compete with these 13 year old elite players. My answer is that it would never occur to them that they couldn’t.
And they really looked good in their new Herbalife uniforms!
