Just recently Conductor Beth Steele has stepped up to lead the group through its latest transition. It was nearly one year ago that Alpine Orchestra’s veteran Conductor Farrell Coys was handing over the baton to David Schutte of Leadville. Unfortunately, Schutte was diagnosed with bladder cancer in August, shortly after Steele stepped in to replace him at the conductor’s stand.

The following is a video from the Spring concert where Schutte conducted the Alpine Orchestra in the National Anthem!

If you can’t make Friday night’s concert you can catch the Alpine Orchestra in Salida on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Steamplant Theater or in Buena Vista on Sunday, Nov. 23  at Clear View Community Church.
