T’was the Weekend Before Christmas In The ‘Ville

The Christmas season is in full swing in Leadville. The city lights are all aglow, the churches are busy with advent services and the kids are on their best behavior knowing that Santa’s on his way. With just one week until Christmas, here’s what’s going on the weekend before Christmas. . . In The ‘Ville!

Tonight and tomorrow night the Community Church of Leadville will be presenting the play, The Stolen Cash Box,  a sentimental Christmas story. Comm_Church _Christmas Play

The play starts at 7 p.m. on December 19 & 20 at the church located at 331 U.S Highway 24 in Leadville. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

If you’re up for a Christmas film and want to stay close to home, consider watching The Elf, the next movie in the Leadville Community Movie Night series on Friday, Dec. 19. elfThis comical PG film stars Will Ferrell:  After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity. The movie will play up at the CMC gym, show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is FREE!

If you’re a Pink Floyd fan, then Christmas will come a bit early at the Scarlet Bar in downtown Leadville. This Friday, Dec. 19 Colorado Floyd, a Colorado based Pink Floyd jam-band will be performing the whole spectrum of Pink Floyd music, live! Music starts at 10 p.m.
