Romance and Winter Fun Weekend Line-Up

TONIGHT Friday, February 13 the Mining Museum invites guests to the Tommyknockers and Flickering Candles event. Sample delicious wines, beer, appetizers, and chocolates while touring this first-class museum.  Flickering Candles poster webIn addition to Colorado drink and food selections, the event will also feature wines produced in mining regions all over the world: Chili, South Africa, Spain Australia and more. Ticket prices are $35 per person, $30 for museum members. Also, the first 150 guests will receive a free commemorative wine glass! Come join us in the fun! Saturday, Feb. 14, it’s the Chuck Spurlock Variety Band Valentine’s Day Polka Dance! silhouette dancers smSponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the Polka Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at The Elks Lodge at 123 W. 5th Street in Leadville. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at the door. The dance is a fundraiser for the Knights from Holy Family Parish in Leadville.

Sunday, Feb. 15 join the Winter Fun Day celebration at the Leadville National Fish Hatchery.

Friends of the Leadville National Fish Hatchery meet tomorrow! Become a member!

It’s a FREE guided snowshoe or cross-country ski tour on the hatchery grounds. Participants should meet at the hatchery parking lot, 2846 Hwy 300, at 1 p.m. on Sunday. After the tour the Friends of the Fish Hatchery will provide hot beverages and s’mores around a campfire. Bring your own equipment and water for the trail. Please dress appropriately for conditions.
