By Kate Bartlett, Lake County School District
Lake County High School teacher Karl Remsen was selected as a 2015 Colorado state-level finalist in the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching program.
The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are the nation’s highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science). Awardees serve as models for their colleagues, inspiration to their communities, and leaders in the improvement of mathematics and science education.
The Lake County School District shares the sentiments of Dr. Mary Pittman, Mathematics Content Specialist for the Colorado Department of Education: “Please extend your heartfelt congratulations to Karl on the occasion of being selected for this prestigious honor in recognition of truly outstanding teaching and leadership in mathematics.” Well done, Mr. Remsen!
