It’s Vote Time! Results to Be Reported Immediately
Make your voice heard at the polls. Word on the street is that the number for mail-in ballots that have already been dropped off/mailed early this year has been brisk, so it could be that the sides and candidates that are able to get people to the polls on Election Day could be the victors!

If by Wednesday evening your political hangover hasn’t quite gone away, consider attending the November 4 presentation of “World War II at Camp Hale” at the Lake county Public Library (LCPL).
After all, these soldiers fought for your freedom to vote and its Speaker and Author David Witte who will tell their story, including their close connection and affection for the Leadville community.

Workforce Ctr Hosts FREE Programs for Job Seekers
The Leadville Colorado Workforce Center is offering FREE classes throughout the month of November to assist job seekers. From Resume Building to brushing up of your interview skills, every Tuesday in November at 10 a.m. those in search of a job can receive valuable coaching and strategies to put you back on the payroll.
FREE Smoke Alarms Installed by Red Cross Saturday
The American Red Cross will be in Leadville this Saturday, Nov. 4 to help install free smoke alarms for Lake County residents. Smoke alarms save lives, so be sure your home is safe with an operating alarm.
The American Red Cross will install up to THREE free smoke alarms in your home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 7. All you have to do to schedule an appointment is call 719-785-2721, provide an address of the install and a contact phone number for a call back. All fire alarms will be installed to local fire department standards by a friendly, helpful teams of volunteers.
The Red Cross also is seeking Spanish-speaking and English-speaking volunteers to assist on Nov. 7 with this program. If you are interested, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to sign up.
