Cooper to Open Early Nov. 27 With 100% Terrain

Due to ample early snowfall, Ski Cooper will open its lifts early for the 2015/16 ski season with 100% of the terrain open on a 14-20” base. Early operations will be weekends-only until the originally-scheduled opening date of December 12, when Cooper will operate 7 days per week.

 “We’re very excited to be able to open up early this year,” said Patrick Torsell, Director of Marketing. The early snowfall has been great, and the mountain is looking fantastic. The entire Cooper Family is excited to get out on the slopes, and we look forward to seeing you here Thanksgiving Weekend!”

The specific operating schedule is as follows: Cooper will be OPEN November 27 – 29, will be CLOSED midweek, will REOPEN December 5 – 6, will be CLOSED again midweek, will then OPEN for daily operations beginning December 12, 2015 through April 6, 2016. Lifts operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cooper’s 39 trails provide some of the nation’s finest beginner terrain, smooth corduroy on the blue cruisers, and great bumps, powder (even DAYS after a storm!), and trees.

For the adventure seekers, 2,600 acres of powder bowls and glades await on snowcat-served Chicago Ridge. Sightseeing snowcat tours are available for those who wish to take in the views without skiing/riding.
