Fly In, Drive In: Annual Fall Airport Event on Sept. 17
What kid doesn’t like airplanes? In fact, most young people would love to have the opportunity to check out these marvelous flying machines up close, maybe step into the cockpit and check out the instrument panel.
Well this Saturday, Sept. 17 kids young and old, will have the chance to do just that at the Leadville/Lake County Airport’s 8th Annual Fall Colors Fly-In/Drive-In Pancake Breakfast.
From 7 – 11 a.m. planes from around the region, will be flying into the local airport for a good breakfast, fabulous fall colors and the love of aircrafts. Of course, there will be plenty of Lake County residents driving up to join the fun and food as well.
In addition, to a variety of aircrafts, the crew from the Lake County Public Works Department will join the airport staff in serving up a hearty breakfast for $6/per person.
If you haven’t been up to the Leadville-Lake County Airport in a while, this is a great morning to head up and check out all the incredible improvements going on at this county facility; you won’t be disappointed.
