Tonight, Friday, Feb. 10 kicks off at The Scarlet Bar with Adora & Friends Acoustic Night starting at 9 p.m. The players have something a little different panned for tonight: To welcome Soul Tree and Tiny Monsters, who will be playing Saturday, they will have every singer-songwriter from the bands share their personal music Friday night! Sounds like some good storytelling and songwriting, so come out and welcome these awesome talents!
It’s great to see the local music scene stay alive, so come support those efforts tonight at the corner of 4th & historic Harrison Avenue.
However, for those more inclined to sing their own tune, there will be an opportunity to do that down at Leadville’s Historic Pastime Bar & Cafe, in the old Red Light District at 120 W. 2nd Street.
Tonight is Karaoke Friday, so pick out your go-to song and warm up those pipes!

Ski Cooper will be celebrating Leadville’s own snowboarding hobo, with the return of Mark Hanson on Saturday, Feb. 11 to Katie O’Rourke’s Irish Pub for an Apres Ski celebration from 3-5 p.m. in the lodge.
According to Cooper’s website: After twenty five years of innovating as a multi- instrumentalist, a session musician and as a member of some of the more inventive independent bands throughout the live music universe, Hanson produced his first solo project ‘Beater Guitar’ in 2016. He finished out that year playing saxophone at John Popper’s New Year’s celebration with Vail band Brother’s Keeper, and started off 2017 as member of Leadville Cherokee’s live reunion.
His credit as a sought-after stage musician has been built from his ability to pick up saxophone, guitar, drums or vocals with consistent spontaneity and style. Some have called his style, ‘Snowbo’ music. Come and check out this snowboarding Leadville hobo doing what only he does.
