The “Big Daddy” Lead Vegas Weekend Report

It’s Father’s Day weekend and if you’re still shaping up your plans for celebrating Dear ole Dad, then consider the following options.

The Grill Bar & Cafe Celebrates Dads and if you’re doing the same, then take your favorite guy to dinner on Father’s Day and The Grill will treat him to a beer of his choice! Add some patio dining with this glorious weather and it will be a day for Dad to remember!


Ski Cooper will be offering a Father’s Day Brunch on Sunday, June 18.

Out at Ski Cooper, north of Leadville, the crews will be offering a special Father’s Day brunch in the Lodge. From 10:30 to 1:30 p.m. guest can enjoy a delicious buffet on the mountain. The meal will be accompanied by a sing-along, live music with George Finnell and Sam Galey. The cost is $35 Adults, $15 Children under 12.

Building up to “Big Daddy” day there is some nighttime fun on tap. Tonight, June 16 the tunes can be found on the corner of 3rd and Harrison. Colorado funk band, The Sessh, will be bringing folks to the dance floor with some high energy dance music with modern and vintage twists at The Scarlet. And this band has some solid street cred having opened for bands ranging from JJ Grey and Mofro all the way to Boombox. So put on your dancing shoes and enjoy a unique blend of Roots-Electro-Funk-Rock with a heavy New Orleans funk influence! Music starts at 10 p.m.

On Saturday night the music can be found at Wilde’s Green Hour with the Felonius Smith Trio starting at at 9 p.m. This musical threesome demonstrates a tremendous familiarity with that old-fashioned toe-tapping music. Wilde’s is located at 313 Harrison in fabulous downtown Lead Vegas.
