It’s that special weekend for that special woman: MOM. This Sunday, May 13, Mother’s Day is the perfect time to stop and reflect on all of her dedication and hard work. Pb Pink Boots Society Hoppy Saison limited release: Brewed on International Women’s Day in March in Leadville by the women of Periodic Brewing along with Elizabeth from Longmont’s home brewers club, Indian Peaks Alers. This unique event to honor Mom will provide a fine dining experience of gourmet options with live entertainment. Listen to the soothing sounds of our violin duet played by Noelle Hogan & Ruth Heckmann while enjoying your buffet. Dine on mouth-watering Teriyaki Salmon, Prime Rib, Eggs Benedict, a meat carving station (ham, turkey, prime rib), Swedish Meatballs, Biscuits and Gravy, Belgian Waffle Bar , Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries & more! Whether she’s a burger lover (voted the best in town) or she’s a wing gal, the Pastime will be offering a complimentary glass of wine for any mom with a lunch or dinner purchase. The Treeline Kitchen Head downtown this Sunday for some lovely dinner and drink specials for Mother’s Day, including crab cakes, passion fruit Bellinis, and Sangria. Mom’s will also get a fresh flower. Readers should also note that Treeline is also hosting their Locals Appreciation/1-Year Anniversary cocktail party this Saturday, May 12. Twin Lakes Inn – the Dayton Dining Room. Yep, it’s that time of year, however things seem to be shaking loose a bit earlier than usual in southern Lake County. Today, May 11 is the official opening of the inn and the dining room considered the anchor in the quaint Village of Twin Lakes. General Manager Andy Wald and his solid team of hospitality veterans will be back, offering guests some new culinary creations along with all the old favorites! Their hours are as follows: open Fri and Sat, May 11-12 and May 18-19 for lunch and dinner during their first two weekends of the season. Any lodging guests Saturday night can enjoy the included breakfast on Mother’s Day, but otherwise they will not be open to the public – for dining – on Sunday, May 13. Also, in case you’re wondering, Leadville Today heard from Bill Zeisel, the owner of Wild Bill’s Restaurant on historic Harrison Avenue. He will be re-opening and bringing back Leadville’s beloved belly buster burger by June! It’s encouraging to see this Leadville restaurant making a comeback and all of the remodel work is looking good for historic Harrison Avenue.
