The annual gathering serves as a great tuneup for many Colorado bowhunters, getting prepped for upcoming archery season for deer and elk which for some units, starts as early as August 27. The event includes life-size targets positioned along trails through the woods, some comparing these 3-D target ranges  to a sporting clays course for archers, enabling them to dial in their technique in a wide variety of shooting circumstances.
